Abstract
The Flora of Hong Kong, to be published in four volumes, covers the seed plants (Gymnosperms and Angiosperms) occurring in Hong Kong. The first volume treats 10 families in Gymnosperms and 75 families of Magnoliidae (Dicotyledons) in Angiosperms (including Magnoliaceae, Lauraceae, Malvaceae, etc.). The Flora has been prepared based on herbarium specimen records from Hong Kong and is written in a systematic fashion with identification keys and botanical drawings. It provides information of the habitat, distribution, ecology, etc., as well as colour photographs to help users better understand the species.
